WHY NOT JUST BUY STANDARD SOFTWARE?
Business Central, Sage, Odoo and the rest are good systems. They are simply built on a different logic: standardisation is their business model. That is exactly why they cannot follow you.
You adapt to the system. Whatever does not fit the schema becomes a workaround in Excel.
The system represents how you actually work - including the parts that make you unique.
Through customising and add-ons - and at the next upgrade it is all up for renegotiation.
Your processes are part of the system, not an add-on bolted onto someone else’s software.
Lock-in is not a flaw in the model - it is the model. Your processes live inside the vendor’s product.

Anyone making ElbDesk their whole system rightly asks how they would get out again. The answer is in our terms, not in a marketing promise.

Accounting, inventory management, payroll: whatever runs the same way in every company is interchangeable by definition. If you later want different software for it, you are free to switch. Your processes in ElbDesk then talk to the new system through interfaces.
Integration is our speciality: SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Sage, Business Central.

Data export and switching provider come without additional switching fees. A buyout or buying source code is not a precondition.

The term is twelve months and renews unless cancelled three months before it ends. A new fee only applies with your consent - silence does not count.
The details are set out in the terms of Asertion GmbH (German), in particular section 28 (term), section 31 (fees) and section 32 (data export and switching).

Usage rights, term, fees, data export and switching are governed by the terms of Asertion GmbH, which develops and provides ElbDesk. Read them before you decide - we are happy to go through them with you.
